For the first time in the history of Arkansas, the Senate is conducting hearings Tuesday to determine the outcome of a disputed election. Senator Jack Crumbly of Widener was declared the winner of the 2006 election, but the results were challenged by one of his opponents, former state Representative Arnell Willis of West Helena. The Senate Committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs, chaired by Senator Steve Faris (D. - Central) opened the hearing Tuesday. From right to left in the photo are Senators Ed Wilkinson, Gilbert Baker, Faris, Bill Pritchard and Shawn Womack. They all serve on the State Agencies Committee.
