MPD releases sketch of suspect
Thursday, 08 May 2008
By Steve Good
The Malvern Police Department has released a composite sketch of the person wanted for the shooting of a Malvern police officer, which occurred around 1 a.m. April 18.
William T. Ross, MPD Assistant Chief of Police, said the officer worked with the Rogers, Ark., Police Department and a local artist to produce the composite sketch of his assailant.
Ross cautioned that this is only a sketch and may not look identical to the suspect.
“The suspect also could have shaved or changed his appearance in other ways,” Ross said.
Ross said that anyone who recognizes the person depicted in the sketch, or knows someone similar in appearance, should immediately contact the Malvern Police Department.
Anyone with information about the suspect can contact MPD using the department’s main number at 501-332-3636 or the department’s 24-hour anonymous tip line at 501-337-5477. Ross said the MPD can also be reached via fax at 501-337-5503 and by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
A reward is available for the person providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in this crime.
