Three chances to hit it big
Wednesday, 14 May 2008
Imagine the odds. Three teams from the same county all with a chance to be state champions.

That’s the story here in Hot Spring County. Malvern High School has two teams vying for titles while Bismarck High School has another. Sadly, Poyen High School almost made it but the Indians were nipped by Dierks, 9-8 in the quarterfinals.
Malvern’s Leopards go for the baseball title Saturday. The Lady Leopards try to earn the crown Friday. Both bouts are in Fayetteville.
Bismarck’s Lady Lions will also be in Fayetteville looking for a title.
It might well be a chance for the fans from Hot Spring County to see more than one of the games. Fayetteville is a long haul just for one game, but our fans can pull for three teams Saturday. It would sure be nice to have three teams come home as champions. Malvern Daily Record sports writer Paxton Penny will be there and our coverage of the games should be the best around.
