The Hot Spring County Sheriff's Office and the Malvern Police Department have announced an offer of amnesty for misdemeanor warrants. Amnesty began on March 1 and will end on March 17. Anyone who has misdemeanor fines or warrants can come to the Hot Spring County Sheriff's Office or the Malvern Police Department, both located at the annex on 215 East Highland Avenue, to get court dates and set up payment plans.

According to Cash, District Judge Sherry Burnett has even agreed to wave some of the failure to appear fines.

“We’ll work with them if they come in on those days,” said Cash. “They won’t have to go to jail and they’ll save some money too.”
