Wintry weather still causing problems for Arkansas sports

December 10, 2013

The ice storm of 2013 will go down as one of the more disruptive weather happenings in recent memory.
When the storm was making its way toward the state last week, the Arkansas Activities Association made the right decision in postponing all of the high school football playoffs for a week.
Providing the weather stays calm this week, the playoffs will resume on Friday for the 4A, 3A and 2A classifications and conclude for the 7A, 6A and 5A classifications.
The Glen Rose Beavers will finally take the field at 7 p.m. on Friday and will be playing at Benton Harmony Grove’s Sykes Stadium in Haskell.

For the full story, see Tuesday's (December 10) Malvern Daily Record.
