Woman dies of strangulation

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Pulaski County authorities have arrested a man for the strangling death of a woman whose body was found in a wooded area.
Officials say 36-year-old James Clyde Martin is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Robbin Gore.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Martin confessed to striking Gore and fatally strangling her with a belt.

Officials say the body was dumped in woods near the Dixon Manor Mobile Home Park.

A fisherman found the body on Friday. Relatives told authorities that Gore hadn't been heard from since July 4.
