Shirron sees busy agenda in court

By James Leigh-----Judge Shirron presided over Division II Plea and Arraignment Wednesday at the Hot Spring County Courthouse, and he heard many cases during that time. •Kyron Watkins appeared, and Phyllis Lemons was appointed as his counsel. He pled not guilty to charges of attempted capitol murder, conspiracy to commit capitol murder, kidnapping, battery in the first degree, possession of firearms by certain persons, unauthorized use of another person’s property to facilitate certain crimes, terroristic threatening in the first degree, aggravated assault, engaging in violent criminal group activity, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a controlled substance and enhancement penalties for the offense committed in the presence of a child. Shirron set his bond at $1 million due to the seriousness of the crime.•Christopher Manes appeared, and Gregory Crain was appointed as his counsel. He pled not guilty to charges of three counts of commercial burglary, two counts of theft, three counts of criminal mischief, breaking or entering and criminal trespassing. His bond was set at $50,000, and he is to be back before the court on June 26 at 1 p.m.•Bruce Phifer appeared, and Lemons was appointed as his counsel. He pled not guilty to charges of three counts of commercial burglary, two counts of theft, three counts of criminal mischief, breaking or entering and criminal trespassing. His bond was set at $50,000, and he is to be back before the court on June 26 at 1 p.m.•Cody Schneider appeared, and Lemons was appointed as his counsel. He pled guilty to charges of residential burglary and aggravated assault. He was sentenced to three years of supervised probation and ordered to pay $1,000 in fines, $150 in court costs and $250 DNA fee. •Robert Chancellor appeared with his attorney, Scott Hickam, and he pled not guilty to charges of possession of methadose. He is set for a call back hearing on Aug. 22 at 1 p.m.•Jeffery Traylor appeared with his attorney, Louis Loyd, and he pled not guilty to charges of possession of cocaine. He is to appear before the court on Sept. 26 at 1 p.m.•William C. Prince appeared with his attorney, Loyd, and he pled not guilty to charges of second degree sexual assault. He is to appear before the court on July 24 at 1 p.m.Others to appear in court included Charles Chambliss, Ramiro Araujo, Issac Hudson, Donald Jordan, Barry Leon Cooper, Andrea Loy, Damien Jones, Melodie Moorehead, Tonia Davis, Sherrell Jean Stine, Calvin Perry, Marcus Atkins and several others.
