Reverend Thomas “Tommy” Hanley, age 66, of Malvern went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2012.
He was born July 22, 1946, in Malvern to Robert “J.T.” and Mildred (Miller) Hanley. Tommy was of the Assembly of God Faith and pastored churches in Arkansas and Louisiana for over 30 years. Tommy also worked at the Albert Pike Wal-Mart in Hot Springs in the electronics department for over 16 years. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances McClenhan.
Survivors include his wife, whom he married on June 2, 1967, Janelle Hilborn Hanley; son, Robert Hanley and his wife Robin, all of Malvern; brother, Roy (Billie Jo) Hanley of White Hall; sisters, Retha (James) Weems of Haskell and Tamara (Morris) Cantrell of Malvern; and two grandchildren, Ryan Hanley and Paige Sullivan.
Visitation was Monday, December 31, from 6-8 pm at Regency Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 2, at 2:00 pm in the Regency Funeral Home Chapel with Brothers Larry Stinson and Jon Garrison officiating. Pallbearers will be James Weems, Morris Cantrell, Willard Tackett, Shane Weems, Glen McCloud, Robert Hanley, Ryan Hanley, and Cody Gullett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brother Charles Lee, Harlen Crites, Eddie Ericks, Robby Jackson, Michael Cantrell, and Phillip Cantrell. Burial will be in the Fairplay Cemetery.
