I had no dog in the fight leading into last night’s basketball national championship game between the Louisville Cardinals and the Michigan Wolverines.
All I was wanting was a good, close game, and boy, did I ever get just that.
I’ve been going through all of the national championship games I’ve ever seen and I cannot recall a final that I have enjoyed more than that one since 1994 (for obvious reasons).
Sure there have been good games since 1994, like the Duke-Butler and Kansas-Memphis games, but circumstances beyond my control kept me from being able to watch a single second of either one of those matchups.
