The Malvern Lady Leopards kept their record perfect Tuesday night with a 53-27 drubbing of the Sylvan Hills Lady Bears from the 5A Classification.
Malvern was not tested much in this game, which was their first in a week because of bad weather (they were scheduled to play in a tournament at Mena last week but icy conditions forced its cancellation).
The Lady Leopards did what they do best, which is bombard Sylvan Hills with pressure defense and convert turnovers to points.
By the end of the first quarter, with Malvern leading 14-3, it was easy to see which way this game was going.
The Lady Leopards extended their lead to 34-8 at the halftime break.
Malvern continued to pour it on in the third quarter and held a 43-14 lead heading into the final eight minutes of the game.
