While jobs and money are both concerns related to tearing down the Jones Mill Industrial Park, those things at least have some tangibility to them. As far as jobs go, it is possible to know how many jobs are there and how many might leave. The local chamber of commerce and economic development corporation have resolved to help relocate any businesses that might be displaced by the demolition project, as Senator Alan Clark explained at the July 17 chamber of commerce breakfast meeting. In terms of money, those both for and against tearing down the industrial park can compare revenue and expenditures past and present. An uncertainty in the equation is the environmental concern.
