Benton, AR – Central Arkansas Development Council’s Single Parent Scholarship Fund (SPSF) is accepting applications in Saline, Hot Spring, Pike, Clark, Dallas and Columbia Counties. The deadline to apply July 1, 2015.
The SPSF program provides scholarships to low-income single parents who are pursuing a college education. Funds are used to offset financial situations that may keep a single parent from achieving their educational goals. Full time students may receive $500 per semester; part-time students may receive $250 per semester.

Potential applicants must return a completed application, 3 letters of recommendation, a current transcript of all completed courses, and a goal statement. Applicants must meet income guidelines. Applicants must also have custodial care of a child under the age of 18, be enrolled in an undergraduate course of study, with the exception of candidates for the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree, and maintain a 2.5 GPA.
