Chronicling Glen Rose's road to the championship

Tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m., the Glen Rose Beavers (12-1) will travel to Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium to take on the Charleston Tigers (14-0) for the Class 3A state championship.
This has been a long season for the Beavers and today we are going to look at Glen Rose’s road to the state championship.
The Beavers ended the 2012 season with a heart-breaking loss to Harding Academy in the state championship game and entered the 2013 season with mixed reviews.
Some thought they might not even win their conference title. Glen Rose not only won their conference title, they were barely challenged on their way to a 12-1 season.
Things did not get off on the right foot for the Beavers, as much like the 2012 season, they stumbled coming out of the gate.
Week 1
at Malvern
35-27 loss
In what has become a healthy county rivalry, Glen Rose and Malvern met up on the Leopards’ home field to start the season.
