Early voting begins today for Magnet Cove School millage

On Tuesday, August 27, 2019 the Magnet Cove School District held a special public town hall meeting about the proposed millage rate increase to build a new Magnet Cove Elementary School for the upcoming special election scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
The meeting was held in the elementary cafeteria.
Magnet Cove School District Superintendent Danny Thomas began the meeting by expressing his appreciation to everyone for taking the time to attend. Thomas introduced members of the Magnet Cove School Board of Education and the Administration.
Thomas informed everyone Whitney McCutcheon, principal of Magnet Cove Elementary School would be giving a presentation about the proposed new elementary school and a question and answer session would follow immediately after the presentation.
McCutcheon presented information in a Powerpoint presentation to explain the purpose and significance for a new elementary school. The purpose of the bond issue is for the district to use the bond proceeds to pay off certain existing debt obligations, as well as constructing and equipping a new elementary school; and making other various capital improvements across the campus.
