On Monday, the government announced plans to expand the Federal Pell Grant program to cover 44 participating colleges, allowing high school age students to take college classes with funds from Pell grant.

High school students attending a similar program for the College of the Ouachitas don’t need Pell Grants
There are two ways for high school students to take part in COTO’s programs. For the concurrent enrollment component, students attend college classes at their high schools. The courses are taught by high school instructors that have the same academic credentials that are required by COTO. For the 2015-2016 school year, 240 students from seven local high schools and three counties took part.
