Malvern flushing hydrants

Staff Writer

Malvern Water Works began flushing hydrants on Monday and will continue through Friday, Sept. 4 until all hydrants have been flushed.
Hydrants are being flushed to clear sediments from water mains as well as a way to collect pressure and flow data.
Residents may notice dingy or discolored water while the Malvern Water Works crews are flushing in their area.
The discoloration should clear up within a few hours, but if it does not, residents are encouraged to call (501) 332-3634 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
After 4:30 p.m., the number to call is (501) 732-0397. If there is no answer, callers are encouraged to leave a message and someone from the Malvern Water Works staff will get back in contact as soon as possible.
