For an enjoyable outing in Hot Spring County, the Jones Mill Fun Park is now open and available to the public in the Jones Mill community. Hot Spring County Judge Dennis Thornton has been more than appreciative for this park to service the public
Thornton said, “ The park can serve a lot of people. I think this is something positive for families to enjoy together.”
The county was awarded $45,138.20 in fun park funds based on application materials submitted for FY 2019. The county was informed by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism’s Outdoor Recreation Grants Advisory Committee about funds of the grant. The funds were used to develop a new park with barrier-free access, a pavilion, playground equipment, and fencing in the Jones Mill community. Read more in Thursdays August 20 MDR newspaper edition.
