The special Cruise Nite in honor of 18-year-old Nathan Butt raised $2,130 to help the Butt family with final expenses.
Cruise Nite in Malvern put on a fundraising event for the family of 18-year-old Poyen student Nathan Charles Butt, who tragically lost his life in a recent automobile accident, during their regularly scheduled American Muscle Mania Cruise-In on Saturday, April 9.
According to a statement issued by the group prior to the event, “We would like to have a fundraiser to help his family at this time for expenses and funeral arrangements. All donations will go directly to Nathan’s family.”
The gathering featured live music sponsored by Hwy 270 Grill and Arkansas Municipal Equipment, food from Nick’s Concession, monster trucks and a candlelight ceremony and moment of silence at 7 p.m. for Butt coupled with a fifth year remembrance for Ashley Rose’s son.
“We want to thank everyone for donating to Nathan Butt’s Family. We were able to give the family $2,130,” the group posted to their Facebook page following Saturday’s event.
