M.F.D. responds to fatal fire on Vine St.

The fire was contained to the room of origin, and firefighters rushed into the home searching for the occupant when they found that the occupant had already passed away. A dog found in the home was rescued and administered oxygen.

Fire Chief Jeremy Harper said that no names will be released at this time because the investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Chief Harper also said that, “The guys did an excellent job and truly made every effort to rescue the occupant.”
